چکیده

This paper introduces sector-specific externalities in the Heckscher–Ohlin twocountry dynamic general equilibrium model to show that indeterminacy of the equilibrium path in the world market can occur. Under certain conditions in terms of factor intensities, there are multiple equilibrium paths from the same initial distribution of capital in the world market, and the distribution of capital in the limit differs among equilibrium paths. One equilibrium path converges to a long-run equilibrium in which the international ranking of factor endowment ratios differs from the initial ranking; another equilibrium path maintains the initial ranking and converges to another long-run equilibrium. Since the path realized is indeterminate, so is the long-run trade pattern. Therefore, the Long-Run Heckscher–Ohlin prediction is vulnerable to the introduction of externality. Investigating the Effect of Trade Shocks on employment in tradable and non-tradable sectors in Iran: A Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Model (DSGE)

The aim of this paper is the analysis of trade shocks on tradable and non-tradable employment. To do so, a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium model is designed for Iran economy and the sectors of model are tradable, non-tradable and import. The variables related to foreign trade sector are nominal and real exchange rate, the law of one price gap and terms of trade. The structural parameters...

The Impact of Monetary and Exchange Policies on the Country’s Trade balance Fluctuation with the Approach of Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) models

This paper uses the framework of new Keynesian school and the literature of the Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) model to build a general model that can be estimated for Iran economy. By simulating this model, the effects of the implementation of monetary and foreign exchange policies through policy instruments including bank interest rate, central bank international reserves and t...

Indeterminacy in a model with aggregate and sector - specific externalities

We present a two sector dynamic general equilibrium model with both sector-specific and aggregate externalities. We find that including the aggregate effects allows for a trade-off between the sizes of the two types of externalities needed for indeterminacy.  2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
